Toni AntonucciCongratulations to MiCDA-affiliate Toni Antonucci for receiving the 2021 Baltes Distinguished Research Achievement Award from Division 20 of the American Psychological Association.

This award was established to honor researchers with distinguished careers that have featured exceptional theoretical and empirical contributions to the psychological science of aging.  The award is sponsored by the Margret M. and Paul B. Baltes Foundation.

Dr. Antonucci’s research examines the cross sectional, longitudinal and cohort effects of social relations to assess whether they contemporaneously or longitudinally predict health and well-being. She seeks to examine, clarify, and explain some of the recent complexities identified concerning social relations as well as their ability to help cope with or increase vulnerability to stress and other risk factors. She is a Research Professor at the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan.
