The University of Minnesota’s Life Course Center on the Demography and Economics of Aging (LCC) is officially launching a new initiative and invites researchers for membership. The Network for Data-Intensive Research on Aging (NDIRA) seeks to build and support an emerging interdisciplinary community of scientists using novel collections of large-scale microdata and contextual data for research on population aging.
NDIRA members will have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with members of the NDIRA community, access to hands-on training in data management and analysis, and support in sharing their innovative research on aging and the life course.
Additionally, NDIRA has just opened our call for abstracts for the Data-Intensive Research Conference. This event will be held virtually and focus on leveraging full count U.S. census data. The event will include research presentations, workshops that provide hands-on guidance for linking full count census data, and less formal conversations and flash sessions to discuss common challenges and research ideas using full count data. Learn more about this event and submit an abstract for consideration or a suggestion for a conversation or flash session by Sunday, June 6.
