The 113th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association will take place August 11-14, 2018 in Philadelphia, with sessions held at both the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.

This year’s Meeting theme, “Feeling Race: An Invitation to Explore Racialized Emotions,” encourages sociologists to engage, study, and theorize regarding the multiple ways in which “feeling race” impacts health/mental health, social policies, the economy, crime, education, families, etc.

The Annual Meeting draws more than 5,000 attendees and provides the opportunity for professionals involved in the scientific study of society to share knowledge and new directions in research and practice. Approximately 600 program sessions are convened during the 4-day meeting, featuring over 3,000 research papers and invited sessions.
