The International Council of Nurses’ (ICN) 2017 Christiane Reimann Prize was awarded to Linda Aiken in March 2017. The ICN is a global federation of more than 130 national nurses associations, representing more than 16 million nurses. The honor, named for the first full-time Executive Director of the 118-year-old organization, is given every four years to recognize a nurse who has “made a significant impact on the nursing profession internationally or for the benefit of humanity.”
