NIA Director Richard Hodes says of Angus Deaton, who won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences: “The National Institute on Aging is proud to have supported Dr. Deaton’s work for more than 20 years. His work has examined how circumstances including income inequality and early childhood nutrition influence health and subjective well-being across the life course in the United States and around the world.” Deaton is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School.
