The Ehrlich Research Group at the University of Michigan is led by Joshua Ehrlich, MD, MPH, of the Michigan Center on the Demography of Aging (MiCDA). They study vision and its vast impact on health, disability, and wellbeing. They have a particular interest in understanding and addressing the impact of vision impairment and blindness on the lives of older adults, including their influence on cognitive, psychosocial, and physical health. Their research is interdisciplinary, drawing on epidemiology, demography, health services research, and clinical insights. We work in the U.S. and globally, including in India and East Africa.
