AAUP reports on faculty compensation by category, affiliation, and academic rank

Announcement

The latest data on salaries from the American Association of University Professors show an overall 2.7% increase for inflation-adjusted full-time faculty salaries, with a 3.6% increase for instructors, 3.1% for assistant professors, 3.0% for associate professors, and 2.2% for full professors. But this positive news is countered by the continued decline found in full-time tenure positions, which has decreased by 26% over the past four decades.
