Cruickshanks et al find boomers have better eye health than previous generations

New research by Karen Cruickshanks and colleagues shows that baby boomers have a lower incidence of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) than did the previous two generations. They speculate that lower rates of heart disease among boomers – long tied to poorer eye health – may be one reason for the decline in AMD.
