Jacqueline Angel (Texas) receives 2020 Outstanding Mentor Award from the ASA’s Section on Aging and the Life Course

Congratulations to Jacqui Angel, of the Texas Center on Aging and Population Sciences (CAPS), for being the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding Mentor Award from the American Sociological Association’s Section on Aging and the Life Course. This award recognizes scholars who have distinguished themselves as mentors in the field of aging and the life course.

Dr. Angel’s research examines health and retirement issues in the U.S., with a focus on older minorities, the impact of social policy on the Hispanic population and Mexican American families.
